Meet Dr Holly Lin (Dentist)
Dr Holly’s interest in dentistry began when she was young. Her childhood dentist was a family friend, so visiting the dentist was never something she feared. When her grandmother was diagnosed with oral cancer, it gave her another reason to pursue a career in oral healthcare. Today, she particularly enjoys preventative dentistry and helping patients look after their teeth and gums.
Education & Memberships
Originally from Christchurch, Dr Holly moved to Brisbane at the end of 1999. She first studied medical laboratory science and spent several years working full-time in a microbiology laboratory before deciding to pursue dentistry.
She then completed five years of dental studies at Griffith University on the Gold Coast. Her educational background includes:
- Bachelor of Medical Laboratory Sciences
- Bachelor of Dental Health Science, Griffith University
- Graduate Diploma of Dentistry, Griffith University
Languages spoken: English, Mandarin, and Taiwanese; also familiar with Japanese and Korean.
Outside of the Practice
When she’s not caring for patients, Dr Holly enjoys reading comics, watching anime, Japanese dramas, and movies. She also loves travelling and learning new languages, interests that reflect her curiosity about different cultures.
