Dr Jacqueline received her dental science degree from the University of Queensland in 2005. For two years she practiced dentistry for Queensland Health until deciding to travel overseas to extend her education. Her studies led her to receiving a Master of Dental Science with a specialty in prosthodontics in 2010 from the National Yang Ming University in Taiwan.

Dr Jacqueline was also awarded the Dental Board of Queensland Prize in Oral Pathology and Oral Medicine in 2004. In 2010, she represented Yang Ming University at the International Association of Dental Research (IADR) in Barcelona and was further invited to present at the FDI World Dental Federation in Salvador da Bahia later in the year.

Extremely fluent in both English and Mandarin Chinese, Dr Jacqueline also has an understanding of the Taiwanese dialect, allowing her to serve a diversity of people in the Brisbane CBD area.

A Family of Dentists

She is a third-generation dentist, following the path of her grandfather, father and older brother. Her favourite part of her profession is being able to care for other people and dramatically impact their quality of life. Dr Jacqueline finds it especially rewarding to help patients live without pain and enjoy eating their favourite foods.

Through continuing education courses, Dr Jacqueline stays up-to-date on a wide range of dental services. She also actively participates in a monthly study club with her peers.

Outside of the office, Dr Jacqueline enjoys trying out new restaurants and meals with her family and friends. She also likes taking regular yoga classes.


Brisbane CBD Dentist, Dr Orla Gannon

Orla graduated from the University of Queensland in 2006 with first class honours. Since then, she has worked in several dental practices in Brisbane. In addition to working as a dentist, Orla received her PhD in the field of Oral Cancer from the University of Queensland in 2012. She has published her work in prestigious journals such as Scientific Reports, Clinical Cancer Research and the Journal of Investigative Dermatology. Whilst at university, she received many academic and clinical awards, including the Australian Dental Association Prize for highest marks across all subjects in 2004. In addition to working at Brisbane CBD Dental Clinic, Orla is currently a post-doctoral research fellow at the Translational Research Institute at the Princess Alexandra Hospital. She is available for appointments on Wednesday and Friday. Dr Orla is also an examiner for the dental fellowship (FRACDs).

Providing Quality Care

Orla enjoys all aspects of general dentistry, with a special interest in minimally invasive and preventative dentistry. She prides herself on making sure that every patient is completely at ease and relaxed during their treatment. Her philosophy is for high end, quality care.

Outside of dentistry and research, Orla loves food, the beach, playing piano, keeping fit with yoga and pilates and looking after her pets!
